Trungelliti Builds on His Biggest Masters Victory
Marco Trungelliti delivered three consecutive upsets to reach the second round in Cincinnati. He defeated Sebastian Ofner and Kei Nishikori from a set down in the qualifying stages before following up with a comfortable straight-set win against Hamad Medjedovic in the first round.
This is his first-ever main-draw win at Masters level, and he will now be looking to register consecutive main-draw wins on hard courts for the first time since the Manama Challenger in 2024.
The Argentine has registered multiple main-draw wins only four times this year, with three of those occasions coming on the Challenger circuit, along with reaching the final in Marrakech.

Medvedev Seeks a Fresh Start in Cincinnati
Daniil Medvedev kickstarted his North American swing in Montreal last week, where he lost in the opening round to Botic van de Zandschulp in straight sets. It was his third opening-round loss of the year.
