Arizona enter this series having won five of their last eight games following last night's defeat to the Chicago Cubs.
The Diamondbacks made a solid start to the campaign as they win four of their first six games, but their form nose-dived in early April as they lost five straight.
They steadied the ship in Colorado though, responding to a series-opening loss with 3-2 and 5-3 wins over the Rockies.
Arizona then bounced back from dropping the series opener at home to St Louis, rebounding from a 9-6 defeat with 4-2 and 5-0 wins.
The Diamondbacks once again lost the opening game of a series as they were beaten 3-2 by the Chicago Cubs, and they then failed to build on a 12-11 win as they lost the last meeting 5-3.
San Francisco Giants Form
San Francisco come into this series on the back of a victory that improved their record to 8-11 through 19 games.
The Giants responded to a season-opening loss in San Diego with back-to-back wins over the Padres, but they have not strung together back-to-back victories since then.
They edged a home series with the Padres, winning 3-2 and either side of a 4-0 defeat, and they then avoided being swept by Washington as they responded to 8-1 and 5-3 losses with a 7-1 win.
San Francisco went out on the road after that and dropped two of their three games in Tampa, sandwiching an 11-2 win with 2-1 and 9-4 defeats.
The Giants then edged the series opener in Miami, 4-3, before bouncing back from a 6-3 defeat witha 3-1 victory.
Verdict
Logan Webb gets the nod for San Francisco, and he is backed to continue his solid start to the campaign against a team he has repeatedly beaten over the years.
