The Knicks opened the season with a 108-104 defeat at home to Boston, but bounced back on the road with a 126-120 victory in Atlanta.
They failed to follow up that win however, as they then travelled to New Orleans for a 96-87 defeat to the Pelicans.
New York avoided back-to-back defeats with a 109-91 win in Cleveland, but they were unable to back that up with a first home win of the season.
Instead the Knicks struggled offensively in an immediate rematch with the Cavaliers, losing 95-89.

Milwaukee return home with a 2-2 record after suffering a blowout defeat in Toronto on Wednesday
The Bucks began the campaign with a big Eastern Conference clash with Philadelphia, and they ran out 118-117 winners.
They failed to make it to 2-0 though, as they then suffered a heavy home defeat at the hands of Atlanta, 127-110.
Milwaukee were able to rebound immediately with a 122-114 win against Miami 24 hours later, but for the second time this season they could not string together wins.
The Bucks travelled to Toronto for their road opener earlier this week, and suffered a 130-111 defeat.
Verdict
Milwaukee have had few issues winning and covering against New York in recent meetings, so we expect the Bucks to bounce back at home.
