They rebounded quickly though, wining 17-1 in South Florida, and then kicked off their conference schedule with a 24-10 win over #15 Ole Miss.
Alabama then went out on the road to beat Mississippi State 40-17 and Texas A&M 26-20, before returning home to down Arkansas 24-21.
The Crimson Tide then took their streak to seven games by beating two ranked SEC teams, downing #17 Tennessee, 34-20, and #13 LSU, 42-28.
Kentucky Form
Kentucky come into this game having snapped a three-game losing skid to improve their record to 6-3.
The Wildcats opened with a 44-14 win against Ball State, and backed that up with a 28-17 win over Eastern Kentucky and a 35-3 blowout of Akron.
They began their conference schedule with a 45-28 win at Vanderbilt, and followed that up with a 33-14 upset of #22 Florida at home.
Kentucky were brought back down to Earth a week later though, losing 51-13 to # Georgia, and they then surrendered their top-25 ranking with a 38-21 defeat to Missouri.
The Wildcats’ slide hit three games with a 33-27 loss at home to #21 Tennessee, but they finally ended their losing run a week ago, beating Mississippi State 24-3 on the road.
