The Red Wolves are looking to build on their 2023 improvement that saw them go 6-6 before losing narrowly in a Bowl Game.
They were able to double their win total from 2022, but they did need three non-conference wins to help them secure a Bowl Game appearance.
Arkansas State took on Northern Illinois in the Camellia Bowl and fell to a 21-19 defeat when they failed with a two-point conversion attempt with just 74 seconds to go.
The Red Wolves will want to return to a Bowl Game in 2024, and they made a successful start to the season as they downed Central Arkansas, 34-31, and Tulsa, 28-24.

Michigan come into this game looking to issue an immediate response to last weekend's defeat to Texas.
The Wolverines opened the season with a 30-10 victory over Fresno State, but failed to back that up as they failed to lay a glove on the Longhorns in a 31-12 defeat.
It was a disappointing setback fro the defending champions, who when all the way last season despite Jim Harbaugh serving a couple of sideline bans.
Michigan compiled a 12-0 regular-season record before downing Iowa, 26-0, in the Big Ten Championship Game.
The Wolverines then beat Alabama 27-20 in the Rose Bowl, before beating Washington 34-13 to clinch the national championship.
Verdict
Michigan were blown out a week ago, but Arkansas State are nowhere near Texas' level.
The Wolverines are tipped to return to winning ways, and recent trends suggest they will cover the spread in the process.
