Ignacio Buse enjoyed the best week of his career by winning the title in Hamburg last week after coming through qualifying and playing seven matches in total, including multiple three-set battles. On top of that heavy workload, he also required a medical timeout during the final against Tommy Paul, which raises further concerns about his physical condition heading into the French Open with very little recovery time available.

Buse Carrying Winning Confidence
Ignacio Buse is coming off a breakthrough week in Hamburg where he won seven matches as a qualifier to capture his maiden ATP Tour title. During that run, he defeated four top-50 players and climbed to a career-high ranking of No. 57.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a rapid rise since last season. He made his breakthrough at tour level in Gstaad last July by reaching the semifinals, and he has continued that progress this year with another semifinal in Rio de Janeiro before lifting the title in Hamburg.
Buse made his only previous Grand Slam main-draw appearance at the US Open last year as a qualifier, where he lost to Ben Shelton in straight sets. He will now look to make a stronger impact at this level in Paris.

Rublev Looks Back To His Best
Andrey Rublev appears to be returning to his best level after producing strong results in recent weeks. He reached the final in Barcelona, his first tour-level final in nearly a year, and followed it with a quarterfinal run at the Rome Masters.
Those performances were encouraging after a disappointing stretch following the Middle East swing, where Rublev suffered back-to-back opening-round exits in Indian Wells and Miami.
The Russian also enjoyed a solid start to the season with semifinal appearances in Hong Kong, Doha and Dubai, along with a third-round showing at the Australian Open.
Rublev has made seven main-draw appearances at French Open and suffered opening-round defeats only twice. He has won at least two matches in each of his last four appearances in Paris.
