That set them up for a road showdown with Notre Dame, and they came out on top in a thrilling encounter at South Bend, winning 41-40.
Texas A&M then began their conference schedule with a 16-10 victory over Auburn at home.
The Aggies followed that up last weekend, as they hosted Mississippi State and ran out 31-9 winners.
Verdict
Florida got a shot in the arm last weekend, but their road performances remain a big red flag.
