TCU won 13-7 in Utah and beat Texas Tech 35-34 at home, before suffering a 37-34 road defeat at the hands of Baylor.
The Horned Frogs rallied though, beating Oklahoma State 38-13, Arizona 49-28 and Cincinnati 20-13, before lifting the New Mexico Bowl thanks to a 34-3 blowout of Louisiana.

North Carolina made a huge change after a disappointing 2024 campaign that saw them go 6-7 and lose a Bowl game.
The Tar Heels lured Hall of Fame-bound head coach Bill Belichick to Chapel Hill, in the hope that he ran replicate his pro football success in the college ranks.
He arrived to take over a team that lost four straight games between late September and mid-October to effectively end their season.
North Carolina rallied with three straight victories, but they failed to maintain that momentum until the end of the campaign.
The Tar Heels lost back-to-back games to end the regular season, before suffering a 27-14 defeat at the hands of Connecticut in the Fenway Bowl.
Verdict
All eyes are on Bill Belichick heading into this one, but we are not buying.
TCU are the better team and return plenty of talent from the group that finished 2024 strong, so we expect the visitors to spoil the party.
