New York failed to make it four-in-a-row as they lost 6-3 in Tampa, but they hit back quickly to win their next two games.
The Rangers beat Pittsburgh 7-4 on the road and the New York Islanders 5-2 at home, only to then lose 4-2 when they hosted Winnipeg.
Boston Bruins Form
Boston come into this matchup on a three-game win streak and having won six of their last eight games.
The Bruins suffered a bunch of losses in February and began March with a 5-1 defeat at the New York Islanders.
They bounced back with a 4-1 win over Toronto, and then rebounded from a 2-1 overtime defeat to Edmonton with another 4-1 victory against the Maple Leafs.
Boston followed that up with a 5-1 win when they hosted Pittsburgh, only to then suffered a 5-1 defeat at home to St Louis.
The Bruins have not lost since though, following up a 2-1 overtime defeat in Montreal with home wins over Philadelphia, 6-5, and Ottawa, 6-2.
