The Defenders began their defence of the UFL crown with a 16-10 defeat in St Louis, but their response to that loss has been strong.
They got off the mark a week later as they took down league newcomers Columbus on the road, 44-26.
DC backed that up a week later with their most convincing victory of the season so far – a 45-7 blowout of Houston at home.
The Defenders then made it three-in-a-row last weekend as they avenged their Week 1 defeat with a 28-22 home success against the Battlehawks.
Birmingham Stallions Form
Birmingham are the complete opposite of the Defenders – they have now lost three straight games to fall to 1-3.
The Stallions’ reign over spring football was finally ended last season, and in the offseason they underwent some significant changes, including a change of head coach.
AJ McCarron enjoyed a successful start to his reign as his team won 15-13 in Louisville, but it has been all downhill ever since.
Birmingham were beaten 22-20 in Houston, before moving on to St Louis for a 34-30 loss to the Battlehawks.
The Stallions’ skid then reached three games last weekend as they were shutout in their home opener, losing 16-10 to Orlando.
