Diego Dedura-Palomero made a strong impression earlier this season by reaching the semifinals of a Challenger event in Tigre and later winning an ITF Futures title. However, fitness problems in recent months have slowed down his progress.
The youngster has played 12 tournaments across all levels this year but struggled for consistency. He failed to record multiple wins in 10 of those events, while six ended either in the opening round or during qualifying.
This will be only the fourth main-draw appearance of his tour-level career. He managed to clear the opening round just once in his previous three appearances, reaching the second round in Munich in 2025.

Tiafoe Seeks Response After Rome Disappointment
Frances Tiafoe is coming off a disappointing campaign in Rome, where he suffered a straight-set loss to inexperienced Andrea Pellegrino in the third round. It was his worst defeat by ranking since losing to Dan Evans at Queen’s Club last year.
Despite that setback, Tiafoe has still produced several strong results this season. He reached the final in Acapulco, the semifinals in Houston, and the quarterfinals in both Delray Beach and Miami.
This will be only his second appearance in Hamburg. He made his debut at the tournament last year, reaching the second round before losing to Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets.
