Kyrian Jacquet Earns Masters Main-Draw Debut
Kyrian Jacquet qualified for the Toronto main draw after coming from a set down to defeat Alexander Shevchenko 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. The Frenchman saved 15 of the 18 break points he faced, including all four in the deciding set.
The 25-year-old has reached four Challenger quarterfinals or better this season, but he has continued to struggle at ATP Tour level, failing to register multiple main-draw wins in any tour event.
This is Jacquet's maiden Masters 1000 main-draw appearance. He previously entered three events at this level, with all of them ending in the qualifying stages.
