Resurgence Continues at Wimbledon
Hubert Hurkacz moved into the fourth round after defeating the in-form Tommy Paul 4-6, 7-6, 7-5, 6-2. After dropping the opening set, the Pole took control of the match and dominated the final three sets.
This is Hurkacz's third appearance in the fourth round at Wimbledon. He converted his first opportunity into a semifinal run in 2021, his best Grand Slam result, before losing at this stage in 2023.
The Pole desperately needed this run after returning from a six-month injury layoff. He managed just one main-draw win during the first three months of the season, highlighting his difficult start to the year.
However, he has steadily rebuilt his confidence since the clay swing, reaching the third round in Monte Carlo, the final of the Cagliari Challenger, and recording multiple main-draw wins in Madrid, Roland Garros, and now Wimbledon.
Hurkacz heads into this clash with a 2-4 career record in Grand Slam fourth-round matches. He has lost four of his last five matches at this stage and will be aiming to reach his second Wimbledon quarterfinal.

Struff Rediscovers His Best
Jan-Lennard Struff moved into the fourth round at Wimbledon after upsetting Daniil Medvedev in straight sets, 7-6, 7-6, 7-5. The German trailed by a break in all three sets before fighting back each time to complete one of the biggest wins of the tournament.
The victory was even more impressive considering he had already survived back-to-back five-set thrillers against Brandon Nakashima and Sebastian Baez earlier this week.
With this run, Struff snapped his four-match losing streak in third-round matches at Grand Slams and achieved his best result at Wimbledon.
The German arrived at Wimbledon on the back of a difficult stretch, having failed to win multiple main-draw matches in any of the 16 tournaments he played earlier this season.
