He is now just one win away from matching last year's runner-up finish. This is a finely balanced matchup, with both players capable of coming through, but Cerundolo offers better value as the underdog based on his form and confidence this week.

Collignon Eyes Maiden ATP Final
Raphael Collignon moved into the semifinals after defeating Valentin Vacherot in a hard-fought three-set battle, 7-6, 4-6, 7-5. He fired 14 aces and saved two of the four break points he faced during the match.
He will be relieved with the result after losing both of his previous tour-level quarterfinals this season in Brisbane and Halle.
Collignon has also reached the third round at the French Open and Miami, along with three Challenger finals this season. Those results helped him break into the top 50, and this run will see him make his top 40 debut next week.
This is only the second tour-level semifinal of his career. He previously reached the last four in Brussels last year, where he lost to Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets, and will now look to go one step further.

Cerundolo Stuns Ruud to Reach Semifinals
Juan Manuel Cerundolo secured his place in the Gstaad semifinals after upsetting Casper Ruud in three sets, 3-6, 7-5, 6-2. He trailed by a set and 2-4 before producing another impressive comeback to seal the victory.
This is his third comeback win in three sets this week after recovering from a set down against both Zdenek Kolar and Miomir Kecmanovic in the previous rounds.
Cerundolo has now won 11 of his last 12 matches on clay, including his Challenger title in Bordeaux and a fourth-round run at the French Open, the best Grand Slam result of his career, which has significantly boosted his confidence.
This is only the second tour-level semifinal of his career. He previously reached the last four in Cordoba in 2021, where he went on to win the title, and will now look to reach another ATP final.
