Arlington got hot late last season, but the Stallions have been a consistent force in Spring Football for the past couple of years.

Birmingham Stallions Form
Birmingham enter the first season of the United Football League as back-to-back USFL champions.
The Stallions dominated the USFL before the league merged with the XFL last year, forming the UFL.
They went 9-1 in the 2022 season to win their division, and from there they beat New Orleans 31-17 in the Division Finals before downing Philadelphia 33-30 in the Championship Game.
Birmingham dropped a couple of games in the regular season last year, finishing 8-2, and then went on to dominate in the postseason.
The Stallions blew out New Orleans in the Division Finals for the second year running, winning 47-22, and they then clinched back-to-back titles by beating Pittsburgh 28-12 in the Championship Game.
Arlington Renegades Form
Arlington go into this first game of the UFL having been the crowned the XFL champions one year ago.
The Renegades limped through the regular season, losing four of their final five games to finish with a 4-6 record.
However, that was good enough for a postseason berth due to a weak South Division, and they raised their game considerably once the playoffs began.
Arlington were swept by Houston during the regular season, but won the game that mattered the most as they took down the Roughnecks in the South Division Final, 26-11.
The Renegades then topped that upset in the XFL Championship Game, as they stunned a DC Defenders team that dominated during the regular season, winning 35-26.
Verdict
We have two champions colliding here, but only one of them has shown great consistency.
