St Louis missed out on the XFL playoffs last season despite compiling the third best record in the entire league.
The Battlehawks went 7-3 in the 2023 regular season, but they lost the head-to-head with Seattle in a tough North Division to miss out.
They opened the 2023 campaign with back-to-back road wins, and during the first eight games of the season their only defeats came against a dominant DC Defenders team.
However, St Louis’ most costly defeat came in Week 9 when they hosted Seattle in a massive matchup.
The Battlehawks were beaten 30-12 by the Sea Dragons, rendering their 53-28 blowout of Orlando in Week 10 nothing more than consolation.
Michigan Panthers Form
Michigan enter the new season having made the USFL playoffs a year ago despite posting a losing record.
The Panthers managed just two wins during their debut season in 2022, and doubled that win total in 2023.
They went 4-6 to finish level with Pittsburgh and Philadelphia in the North Division, with their two wins over the latter earning them a postseason berth via the head-to-head.
That meant Michigan would face Pittsburgh in the North Division Final – a team that swept them during the regular season.
The Panthers came up short again against the Maulers, losing 31-27 in overtime to miss out on a place in the USFL Championship Game.

St Louis return with a talented roster headlined by an experience QB and a beast at wide receiver.
