Manny Pacquiao can leave Las Vegas still the WBA welterweight world champion.

Manny Pacquiao Form

Manny Pacquiao will be 42 years and 227 days old when he steps into the ring for this fight.

The Filipino legend claims he has ‘one or two’ more fights in him before he finally hangs up his gloves.

Pacquiao has rebounded well from that disappointing and controversial loss to Jeff Horn in July 2017.

While many observers acknowledged that he ‘looked old’ in the loss, it was widely thought that he had done more than enough to beat Horn.

The judges disagreed, with accusations of ‘hometown’ judging being thrown around post-fight.

Pacquaio returned to the ring a year late though and stopped Lucas Matthysse in the seventh round for his first stoppage win in nine years.

He then bested Adrien Broner over 12 rounds before edging a split decision against Keith Thurman to win the WBC welterweight title.

That victory took Pacquiao’s record to 62-7-2 with 39 of his wins coming via stoppage. Of his losses, three have come by knockout.

Yordenis Ugas Form

Yordenis Ugas is stepping in at short notice for the biggest fight of his career.

The 35-year-old Cuban is an experienced campaigner but has had very few fights at the top level.

In fact, he really only has one notable fight on his record and that ended in defeat – a split decision loss to Shawn Porter in March 2019.

Ugas bounced back with a unanimous decision win over Omar Figueroa Jr a couple of months later.

He then beat Mike Dallas Jr when his opponent retired from the fight after the seventh round.

He then earned a split decision win over Abel Ramos in September of last year to take his current win streak to three fights.

Ugas’ record now stands at 26-4 with 12 wins coming via KO. He has not been knocked out in his career.
