The Canucks entered the playoffs having put together a 50-23-9 record in the regular season to win the Pacific Division.
They went 5-4 in their last nine games of the regular season though, and they were only able to split the first two games of this series despite having home advantage.
Vancouver scored three unanswered goals in the final period of Game 1 to snatch a 4-2 victory over Nashville.
There would be no such heroics in the second game though, as the Canucks fell behind early and never recovered in a 4-1 defeat to the Predators.

Nashville return home having given themselves an early edge in the series by winning the second game.
The Predators booked their place in the playoffs by finishing fourth in the Central Division with a regular season record of 47-30-5.
They closed out the regular season with a defeat, and then fell behind early in this postseason series with Vancouver.
Nashville led after the first two periods in Game 1, but gave up three goals in the final stanza to lose 4-2 to the Canucks.
The Predators took the lead again in the second game, but this time they did not surrender it as they levelled the series with a 4-1 victory.
Verdict
Nashville's recent record against Vancouver is rough, but their performances through the first two games give plenty of reason for optimism.
They are also on a good run of form at home, so we are backing the Predators to edge ahead in the series.
