Glover Teixeira is a former UFC light-heavyweight champion with a 33-8 professional record.
Texeira goes into this fight having won six of his last seven fights – a run that earned him the title.
He rebounded from a decision defeat to Corey Anderson with submission wins over Karl Roberson and Ion Cutelaba in the first half of 2019.
The 43-year-old Brazilian then claimed a split decision win against Nikita Krylov to cap off a successful year.
Teixeira extended his streak in 2020 as he dominated Anthony Smith on his way to a fifth-round TKO win, and then submitted Thiago Santos in the third round.
That secured a crack at the light-heavyweight title and he took it by tapping out Jan Blachowicz in the second round.
The veteran Brazilian failed to make a successful defence though, as he was submitted by Jiri Prochazka in the fifth round in June 2022.
That was the fourth stoppage defeat of Teixeira’s career, with three losses coming by KO/TKO and one by submission.
Jamahal Hill Form
Jamahal Hill has won each of his last three fights to improve his record to 11-1 and climb the light-heavyweight rankings.
Hill debuted in the UFC in January 2020 with a perfect 6-0 record, and he made a successful debut by beating Darko Stosic by decision.
The 31-year-old American then knocked out Klidson Abreu in the first round in his next fight, but the result was later overturned to a No Contest after Hill failed a drug test.
He got back to winning ways later that year though, knocking out Ovince Saint Preux in the second round, only to suffer the first defeat of his career in June 2021.
‘Sweet Dreams’ suffered a dislocated arm early in his fight with Paul Craig and although he fought on, he was stopped with strikes inside just two minutes.
Hill’s response has been emphatic though – he has won his last three fights inside the distance.
He got back to winning ways by knocking out Jimmy Crute in just 48 seconds, and he then knocked out Johnny Walker less than three minutes into the first round of their fight.
Hill then made it three-in-a-row last August when he knocked out Thiago Santos in the fourth round.
