Their form tailed off in the middle of January though, as a 127-110 defeat at the Los Angeles Lakers sparked a three-game skid.
Dallas returned home for a 119-110 defeat to Boston and a 132-109 loss to Phoenix, before finally stopping the rot with a 148-143 win in Atlanta.
The Mavericks failed to build on that victory as they then lost 120-115 at home to Sacramento, but they did bounce back on Monday to beat Orlando 131-129.
Minnesota Timberwolves Form
Minnesota return home after a successful road trip that saw them win three of their four games.
The Timberwolves hit some good form in the middle of January as they won four straight outings, starting with a 116-93 victory over Portland.
They then beat the LA Clippers 109-105, Detroit 124-117 and Memphis 118-103, before seeing their hot streak end with a 102-97 loss to Oklahoma City.
Minnesota lost their next game too, 128-125 at the hands of Charlotte, but they responded on the road with a 118-107 victory at Washington and a 96-94 win in Brooklyn.
The Timberwolves failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 113-112 in San Antonio, although they did issue an immediate response with a 107-101 victory at Oklahoma City.
Verdict
Hanging points on Minnesota is a difficult task, so we expect the under to once again cash when these two teams go head-to-head.
