Georgia Form

Georgia are the #1 ranked team in the nation, having gone a perfect 12-0 during the regular season.

The defending national champions sent an early statement with a 49-3 destruction of #11 Oregon on opening night.

They then followed that up with a 33-0 shutout of Samford, followed by a 48-7 rout at South Carolina and a 39-22 win at home to Kent State.

The Bulldogs continued to stack up wins as they battled past Missouri, 26-22, and then got back to dominant ways with a 42-10 blowout of Auburn

Georgia then shutout Vanderbilt 55-0 before winning 42-20 against Florida on the road.

That set up a huge clash with their main rivals for the #1 spot at the time, Tennessee, and the Bulldogs made a statement with a 27-13 over the #2 Volunteers.

They then won 45-19 at Mississippi State and 16-6 at Kentucky, before closing out the regular season with a 37-14 win at home to Georgia Tech.

LSU Form

LSU go into the conference championship game on a downer after losing their regular season finale to finish 9-3.

The Tigers got off to a losing start as they were beaten 24-23 by Florida State, but they quickly bounced back to win their next four.

The rolled over Southern 65-17 before seeing off Mississippi State 31-16, New Mexico 38-0 and Auburn 21-17.

That run was halted in early October as they were blown out 40-13 at home by #8 Tennessee, but again they avoided back-to-back losses.

LSU rebounded with a 45-35 win at Florida and then knocked off two top-10 teams, #7 Ole Miss (45-20) and #6 Alabama (32-31).

The wins kept coming for the Tigers as they then won 13-10 at Arkansas before heading home for a 4-10 blowout of UAB.

However, they were unable to win their final game of the regular season, losing 38-23 at Texas A&M.
