They rebounded a week later with a 66-7 blowout of Purdue, before registering their first home win of the season as they beat Miami OH 28-3.
Notre Dame then registered their second win over a ranked team this season as they battled past Louisville, 31-24.
The Fighting Irish have backed that up and taken their streak to five games with a 49-7 blowout of Stanford and a 31-13 victory over Georgia tech.

Navy go into their biggest game of the season boasting a perfect record, having won all six of their games so far.
The Midshipmen kicked off the campaign with a 49-21 win over Bucknell, and followed that up with a 38-11 victory against Temple.
They then won a 100-point showdown with Memphis, 56-44, before heading out on the road for the first time this season.
Navy downed UAB 41-18, and then moved on to beat Air Force 34-7 in the first game of this season’s Commander-In-Chief's Trophy series.
That propelled the Midshipmen into the AP rankings, and they stayed there thanks to a 51-17 win over Charlotte.
