Patrick Mahomes has repeatedly got the better of the Ravens in his career, and despite last year’s opening night loss the defending Super Bowl champion tends to win their opener.

Baltimore enter the 2024 season as one of the favorites to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy next February.
The Ravens went agonizingly close in the 2023 campaign, making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game.
They dropped a couple of games early regular season, but found their groove in mid-October and embarked on a run of 10 wins in 11 games to propel themselves to a 13-4 record.
That earned Baltimore another AFC North crown and homefield advantage for the playoffs, and they made the most of it in the Divisional Round with a 34-10 victory over Houston.
However, the Ravens failed to make it count in the AFC Championship Game, as they were beaten 17-10 by eventual Super Bowl winners Kansas City.
Kansas City Chiefs Form
Kansas City are the defending Super Bowl champions and are considered one of the front-runners to win it all again in 2024.
The Chiefs made a shocking start to the 2023 season as they were beaten 21-20 at home by the Detroit Lions.
They rebounded with a six-game win streak, but struggled for consistency the rest of the way as they finished the regular season with an 11-6 record.
That was good enough to win the AFC West, but it was only good enough for the third seed in the postseason, and that meant a 26-7 win over Miami was their only home game of the playoffs.
Kansas City had to go out on the road the rest of the way, and despite being underdogs they beat Buffalo 27-24 and Baltimore 17-10 to reach the Super Bowl.
They needed a last-gasp field goal to force overtime against San Francisco, and won it in the extra period when Patrick Mahomes found Mecole Hardman for the winning touchdown.
Verdict
Baltimore will be a serious threat once again in 2024, but at this early stage we are leaning towards Kansas City in this blockbuster opener.
