The Wild enjoyed a strong run prior to Christmas with seven consecutive wins, only to cool off with back-to-back home defeats before Christmas Day.
They fell 5-1 to Colorado and 3-2 to Nashville in overtime, but rebounded on the road as they downed Winnipeg 4-3 in overtime and Vegas 5-2 in regulation.
Minnesota failed to make it three-in-a-row as they dropped a shootout in San Jose, and they were then unable to back up a 5-2 success in Anaheim.
The Wild moved on to Los Angeles for back-to-back meetings with the Kings and lost both of them, 5-4 and 4-2.
Seattle Kraken Form
Seattle enter this matchup on their best run of the season so far, having now won eight of their previous nine games.
The Kraken struggled badly between late November and much of December, losing 10 times in 11 games, but they were able to turn things around before Christmas.
They snapped a four-game skid with a 4-2 win in San Jose, and backed that up with a 3-1 success in Anaheim and a 3-2 victory at Los Angeles to go into Christmas Day on a three-game win streak.
Seattle then downed Philadelphia 4-1 to make it four-in-a-row, only to see their run end with a 3-2 shootout loss to Vancouver.
The Kraken have not lost since though, backing up a 4-1 win over Nashville with victories against Vancouver, 4-3, Calgary, 5-1, and Boston, 7-4.
Verdict
Seattle are the team in better form, but they have had a rough time against Minnesota in recent meetings.
The Wild have been solid on the road in recent months and won 4-1 in Seattle last December, so we are backing the visitors to rebound from those losses in Los Angeles.
