That left Florida needing to win three straight to advance, and they did just that as they sandwiched a 7-4 home win with a couple of 4-3 overtime victories.

The Panthers then kept their win streak running with a couple of wins in Toronto, downing the Maple Leafs 4-3 (OT) and 4-2 to take a 2-0 series lead.
