Brandon Nakashima opened his ATP campaign with a dominant straight-set win over Elias Ymer, extending his unbeaten record in first-round matches of ATP events in 2026.
He reached the final in Brisbane last month, but results since then have been more modest. Nakashima fell in the second round in Dallas to Taylor Fritz and again exited in the second round in Delray Beach last week against Coleman Wong.
