Cobolli Builds on Career-Best Year
Flavio Cobolli defeated Alex de Minaur in straight sets to book his place in the Wimbledon quarterfinals. It was only his second career win over a top-10 player at a Grand Slam, following his victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime at Roland Garros a few months ago.
The Italian has continued to raise his level against top opponents, a trend that has produced several breakthrough results this season, including his maiden Grand Slam final at Roland Garros.
Apart from that run, Cobolli also reached the final in Munich, won the Acapulco title, and made the quarterfinals in Madrid. Those results helped him break into the top 10 for the first time.
Cobolli heads into this clash with a 1-1 career record in Grand Slam quarterfinals, having lost at this stage at Wimbledon last year before reaching the Roland Garros final earlier this season.

Briton Reaches New Heights
Arthur Fery has continued his dream run at Wimbledon, defeating Zizou Bergs and Grigor Dimitrov in back-to-back five-set matches to reach the quarterfinals.
A few weeks before Wimbledon, the Briton reached the Birmingham Challenger semifinals and his first ATP Tour quarterfinal at Queen's Club, giving him plenty of confidence heading into the Championships.
Earlier this season, Fery also recorded his first Grand Slam main-draw win at the Australian Open and reached the semifinals of the Zagreb Challenger. Those results have helped him climb close to the top 60 in the rankings.
The Briton is now playing the best tennis of his career and will be aiming to continue his breakthrough run into the Wimbledon semifinals.
