Thiago Agustin Tirante secured his place in the quarterfinals after defeating Jakub Mensik from a set down, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4. He lost his serve only once and won 86% of his first-serve points during the match.
Before the North American swing, he had won only five main-draw matches at tour level on hard courts and had never won consecutive matches on the surface. However, he has now won seven matches during this swing, highlighting his incredible rise on hard courts.

Arthur Fils Builds on His North American Revival
Arthur Fils defeated Alex de Minaur in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, to book his place in the quarterfinals. He saved both break points he faced and converted two of the nine break points he created during the match.
