Sinner Strengthens Quarterfinal Mastery
Jannik Sinner defeated Cameron Norrie 6-2, 7-5 in straight sets to reach the Madrid quarterfinals. He dropped serve once and converted four of his nine break-point chances during the match.
With this victory, he extended his Masters winning streak to 25 matches and is now chasing a fifth consecutive Masters title, something no player has achieved before.
The Italian also lifted the biggest clay title of his career last week in Monte Carlo by defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the final, after losing to him in the Rome and Roland Garros finals on clay last year.

Jodar Reaches First Masters Quarterfinal
Rafael Jodar continued his rapid rise by reaching the Madrid quarterfinals with a 7-5, 6-0 win over Vit Kopriva. He saved both break points he faced and converted four of his seven break chances in the match.
The 19-year-old also claimed his first top-10 win earlier this week against Alex de Minaur and defeated fellow rising star Joao Fonseca. With this run, he became only the fourth wildcard to reach this stage in Madrid tournament history.
After strong results on the Challenger circuit, he made his tour-level debut at the Australian Open earlier this year and recorded multiple main-draw wins for the first time in Miami last month. Since the clay swing began, however, he has clearly reached another level.
Jodar has now won 12 of his last 13 matches, including his maiden title in Marrakech, a semifinal in Barcelona, and now his first Masters quarterfinal in Madrid. Those results have pushed him up to No. 34 in the live rankings.
