Buse Keeps Kitzbuhel Campaign Alive
Ignacio Buse came through back-to-back three-set matches against Vit Kopriva and Kilian Feldbausch to reach the quarterfinals in Kitzbuhel. Before this week, he had never won a main-draw match at the tournament.
This is his first run of back-to-back ATP Tour wins since his breakthrough maiden tour-level title in Hamburg a few months ago, a result that pushed him close to the top 30 in the rankings.
It is also his third ATP Tour quarterfinal of the season after reaching the semifinals in Rio de Janeiro earlier this year. He will now look to continue that momentum this week.
