Hanfmann Builds Momentum in Kitzbuhel
Yannick Hanfmann moved into the quarterfinals after defeating Marco Trungelliti in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6. He won 81% of his first-serve points and dropped his serve only once during the match.
This is his third consecutive quarterfinal in Kitzbuhel and his fifth overall at the tournament. Apart from his quarterfinal loss last year, Hanfmann has won all of his previous quarterfinal matches here, including his title-winning run in 2020.
The German will be pleased with his run this week. Before arriving in Kitzbuhel, he had played 18 tournaments this season, clearing the opening round in 15 of them but progressing further only twice, reaching the quarterfinals in Marrakech and the final in Santiago.

Baez Survives Two Tough Tests
Sebastian Baez secured his place in the quarterfinals after coming through back-to-back three-set victories over Miomir Kecmanovic and Arthur Rinderknech.
This is his third quarterfinal appearance in Kitzbuhel. He lost at this stage in 2022 before going on to win the title in 2023.
Like Hanfmann, Baez has struggled for consistency since the start of the European clay swing, a run that has seen him drop outside the top 60 in the rankings.
He has reached four ATP Tour quarterfinals this season, winning three of them. His only defeat at this stage came against Andrey Rublev in Bastad last week.
