Los Angeles head to Philadelphia looking to rebound from a defeat that ended their four-game win streak.
The Lakers lost three straight a couple of weeks ago, but rebounded with back-to-back wins as they beat Miami 117-108 and Brooklyn 102-101.
They failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 116-102 at the LA Clippers, but they did rebound immediately at home to beat Washington 111-88 and Boston 117-96.
Los Angeles then extended that streak to four games as they went out on the road to down Golden State 118-108 and Charlotte 112-107.
The Lakers were unable to keep that run going in Philadelphia though, as they lost 118-104 to the 76ers.
Washington Wizards Form
Washington go into this matchup having seen their losing skid reach 15 games with last night's defeat to Toronto.
The Wizards have not won since the 125-107 victory over Chicago on New Year’s Day, which was immediately followed by back-to-back defeats to New Orleans.
The losses began to pile up and continued when they went out on the road for a six-game run.
Washington began the trip with a 123-100 defeat to Sacramento, before heading to Los Angeles to lose 111-88 to the Lakers and 110-93 to the Clippers.
The Wizards then fell to a 119-108 defeat in Phoenix and a 130-108 loss in Dallas, before returning home to fall 106-82 to Toronto.
Verdict
Washington are on a terrible run and while it will end eventually, we do not expect it to happen here.
Los Angeles have dominated them in recent meetings, including a 23-point victory over the Wizards earlier this month, so we are backing the Lakers to leave with a win and cover.
