Pinnington Jones Set for Queen's Club Debut
Jack Pinnington Jones enjoyed a breakthrough start to 2026, reaching the ATP 500 quarterfinals in Dallas as a qualifier. He also finished runner-up at the Challenger event in Soma Bay earlier in the season, helping him break into the Top 150 for the first time in his career.
However, he struggled to build on those results over the following months. Despite earning several ATP main-draw opportunities, including through qualifying in Houston, he was unable to put together another deep run and suffered a number of early exits across the hard-court and clay-court swings.
The Brit is now making his Queen's Club debut. He has already picked up notable wins at the Birmingham and Ilkley Challengers this summer and arrives on grass with far more confidence and momentum than he had during the early months of the season.

Shapovalov Looking to End Losing Streak
Denis Shapovalov has struggled to find consistency this season despite arriving with high expectations following his strong 2025 campaign. A series of early exits prevented him from building momentum during the opening months of the year, and he enters this week on a five-match losing streak.
There have still been a few positive results along the way. The Canadian reached the semifinals in Dallas while defending his title, the third round at Indian Wells and the quarterfinals in Munich. However, he has been unable to string together strong performances consistently enough to climb back up the rankings.
Shapovalov began his grass-court season in 's-Hertogenbosch last week, where he lost to Marin Cilic in the opening round. This will be his sixth appearance at Queen's Club. He has cleared the opening round only twice in his previous five visits, with his best result being a semifinal run in 2021.
