The Badgers fired Paul Chryst during the season and on November 27 announced the hiring of Luke Fickell, who led Cincinnati to the College Football Playoffs in 2021.
Fickell’s first job will be to lead Wisconsin to victory in a Bowl game that was secured late in the season.
The Badgers lost four of their first seven games, but were able to end at .500 thanks to three wins in their final five outings.
They ended October with a 35-24 win against Purdue and then backed that up with a 23-10 win against Maryland.
Wisconsin then sandwiched a 15-14 win at Nebraska with a 24-10 loss at Iowa and a 23-16 defeat at home to Minnesota.
