The Horned Frogs started the season unranked but quickly made an impression as they followed up three non-conference wins with a huge victory in their conference opener.

The Horned Frogs kept the wins coming as they beat West Virginia 41-31 and Texas Tech 34-24.
They then made it 5-0 against ranked opponents by beating #18 Texas on the road, 17-10.
TCU’s perfect regular season concluded as they won 29-28 at Baylor before recording a 62-14 home blowout of Iowa State.
However, they finally suffered their first defeat of the season in the Big 12 Championship, dropping a heart-breaker to #13 Kansas State, 31-28.
