They were able to stop the rot a week later with a 29-0 shutout of Detroit, and backed that up by beating the Browns 38-15 in Cleveland.
The Patriots’ momentum stalled last Monday night though, as they were dominated in a 33-14 home loss to Chicago.
They turned the ball over four times in the loss as Bill Belichick benched Bailey Zappe for Mac Jones, only to go back to Zappe after a Jones pick.

The Jets faltered offensively on opening weekend as they were beaten 24-9 at home by Baltimore.

New York ran out 27-10 winners at Green Bay before grinding out a 16-9 victory at Denver.
