Their form tailed off badly after that though as they lost 31-18 to Detroit and 28-20 at Dallas.
They then tied 20-20 at home to division rivals Washington before seeing their winless run hit four games with a 48-22 loss to Philadelphia.
New York finally stopped the rot though with a 20-12 win at Washington, but failed to back that up as they lost 27-24 at Minnesota.
The Giants were able to rebound last weekend though, blowing out Indianapolis 38-10 to secure a place in the postseason.

Philadelphia are leading the race for the #1 seed, but have lost their last two games to slip to 13-3.
The Eagles started the season with an eight-game win streak before suffering their first loss – a 32-21 loss at home to Washington.
They hit back immediately with a 17-16 win at Indianapolis and followed it up with a couple of home wins.
Philly beat Green Bay 40-33 and Tennessee 35-10 before heading out on the road to down the New York Giants 48-22.
The Eagles then battled to a 25-20 win at Chicago, but that win came at a price as starting QB Jalen Hurts suffered an injury that has kept him out of their last two games.
Philadelphia lost both of those matchups, falling 40-34 in Dallas and 20-10 at home to New Orleans.
