New York head to Pittsburgh looking to halt a three-game losing skid that has left them with a 2-4 record.
The Jets opened the season with a 32-19 defeat at San Francisco, but rebounded over the next couple of weeks with back-to-back wins.
They beat Tennessee 24-17 on the road, before heading back to the MetLife Stadium to win their home opener with New England, 24-3.
New York have not won since though, with a 10-9 defeat to Denver and a 23-17 loss to Minnesota in London leading to the firing of head coach Robert Salah.
The Jets then saw their slump reach three games last week as they were beaten 23-20 by division rivals Buffalo.
Pittsburgh Steelers Form
Pittsburgh go into this Sunday Night Football showdown having won four of their first six games of the season.
The Steelers opened up with an 18-10 win in Atlanta, and backed that up with a 13-6 success in Denver and a 20-10 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Their winning start was brought to a halt in Week 4 though, as they lost 27-24 in Indianapolis.
That became back-to-back defeats for Pittsburgh a week later as they were beaten 20-17 at home by Dallas, but they were able to stop the slide last Sunday with a 32-13 win in Las Vegas.
Despite that victory, and the 4-2 start, head coach Mike Tomlin has confirmed that Russell Wilson will replace Justin Fields as the starting quarterback going forward.
