Lorenzo Sonego Looks to Extend His Resurgence
Lorenzo Sonego moved into the third round after defeating Adrian Mannarino in straight sets, 6-1, 7-6. He served nine aces and lost his serve once during the match.
This is his first back-to-back wins on hard courts since Metz in November last year. Before this week, he had registered multiple main-draw wins only once this year, at Wimbledon, where he reached the third round.
The Italian has dealt with fitness issues earlier this year, which affected his progress and pushed him close to dropping outside the Top 100 in the recent rankings. He will now look to build on this positive run.

Duckworth Ends Long Wait for Back-to-Back Wins
James Duckworth moved into the next round in Winston-Salem after defeating Mariano Navone in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6. He trailed 1-4 in the second set and was even 2-5 down in the tiebreak before fighting back to win in straight sets.
This is his first run of back-to-back main-draw wins on tour since Almaty last year. He is now looking to reach his first quarterfinal of the season.
