Ohio State head out on the road for the first time this season looking to improve their perfect record to 4-0.

The Buckeyes entered the new season looking to contend for a national championship, and they have so far live up to preseason expectations.

They opened up at home to Akron and made straightforward work of the Zips in a 52-6 victory.

Ohio State backed that up a week later as the defense posted its first shutout of the season in a 56-0 win over Western Michigan.

The Buckeyes gave up points last weekend, but that did not prevent them from notching another win, this time beating Marshall 49-14.

Michigan State enter their biggest test of the season so far having seen a three-game win streak come to an end last weekend.

The Spartans opened the season with a string of non-conference games, and got off to a winning start as they beat Florida Atlantic 16-10.

They backed that up in their road opener a week later, as they paid a visit to Maryland and ran out 27-24 winners.

Michigan State then made it to 3-0 as they shut out Prairie View A&M in a 4-0 victory, but they were unable to make it to 4-0.

The Spartans wrapped up their non-conference schedule with a trip to Boston College that ended in a 23-19 defeat.
