Marlon Vera is looking for a third straight win that could propel him into the top five in the division.
Vera enjoyed a five-fight win streak between August 2018 and October 2019 that saw his stock grow.
That run was halted by a decision defeat to Song Yadong in a featherweight bout, but the 29-year-old Ecuadorian rebounded quickly.
Vera took out Sean O’Malley with strikes in the first round in his second outing of 2020.
He failed to build on it though, as lost a three-round decision to Jose Aldo, but Vera has not lost since that December 2020 bout.
He enjoyed a perfect 2021 that saw him best Davey Grant over three rounds before knocking out ex-lightweight champion Frankie Edgar in the third round.
That victory left Font with an 18-7 record, with seven wins coming via knockout and eight by submission.
Despite losing seven times in his career, the Ecuadorian has never been stopped.
